VisionTech Adds New Chapter

Indianapolis-based angel investment firm VisionTech Partners has added its sixth Indiana chapter. The firm’s first Affinity angel investing group, AngelBom, focuses on students and graduates of the Business of Medicine program at the IU Kelley School of Business.
VisionTech says AngelBom’s membership will come from physicians throughout the country who have earned MBAs from the IU Kelley School of Business. AngelBom will focus on investment opportunities in the life sciences sector.
"A significant portion of our physician MBA program is dedicated to the strategy of creating and running businesses," said Todd Saxton, the Indiana Venture Faculty Fellow at the IU Kelley School of Business. "Starting an Affinity angel investing group with VisionTech Angels gives our alumni, students, and colleagues a unique opportunity to put their MBAs into action, while leveraging their knowledge and experience as physicians."
Todd Saxton created AngelBom along with Kim Saxton, clinical associate professor of marketing at the IU Kelley School and Tom Heniff, a recent MBA graduate and emergency medicine physician at Witham Hospital in Lebanon. AngelBom adds to VisionTech’s other chapters in Bloomington, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Lafayette and Warsaw.
