Vincennes Names New Assistant Provost, Dean

Vincennes University has named a new assistant provost and dean of students, and it is a homecoming, of sorts. Whitney Daugherty has assumed the position. She is a former director of student activities for the university.
“I’m really excited to be back at VU,” said Daugherty. “In my previous role I was able to really work with the students and get their sense of academics, what they like to do for fun, and what they really enjoy about VU.”
Daugherty said moving into the new job, she will use that insight to help grow relationships and help students achieve their academic goals.
“When the students come in and really feel that sense of team working together and making the best for them, then they feel at home and they feel like they are part of that family,” Daugherty said.
Daugherty also served as assistant director of career services at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and the resident community advisor at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
