Vincennes Names College of Technology Dean

Vincennes University has named Ty Freed dean of the College of Technology. Freed, who has been a member of the VU faculty for 17 years, has served as interim dean since January.
In addition to serving as dean, Freed is also the chair of the school’s Automotive Technology and Collision Repair programs. Laurel Smith, interim provost and vice president of instructional services at VU, says Freed will "continue to be an engaged collaborator and strong leader for VU."
"I’m excited about what the future holds for the College of Technology," said Freed. "The dedicated faculty and staff make it a great place to work and learn. I look forward to working with faculty, staff, and students while helping Vincennes University continue a tradition of quality education."
Freed is himself a graduate of the VU Automotive Technology program.
