An Indianapolis-based tech company has a new leader. VeriCite, a cloud-based plagiarism detection service, has selected Valerie Schreiner as chief executive officer. She previously served as chief product officer of California-based data analytics company Schoolzilla. VeriCite co-founders Scott Siddall and Sam Ottenhoff will continue as chief financial officer and chief technology officer, respectively.

In addition to the naming a new CEO, VeriCite has announced it has added more than 100 educational institutions as clients since its inception in 2016. Some of the company’s customers include Colorado State University, the University of Oregon and several K-12 school districts, such as Seminole County Public Schools in Florida.
