Carmel-based Veracity IIR has hired Jeff Smith (pictured), Paul Medernach (pictured) and Jeremy Bell as senior investigators. Smith retired from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department in 2018. He was a critical member of teams specializing in investigating organized crime and was recognized as an expert witness in criminal street gang identification. Medernach recently retired from the FBI where he specialized in corporate, investment, healthcare and bank fraud. Bell previously worked at the National Crime Agency in the United Kingdom.
