Vatican Undersecretary to Speak at Notre Dame

The undersecretary of the Vatican’s Congregation for Catholic Education will be in Indiana to speak at the University of Notre Dame. Rev. Friedrich Bechina will give the 2016 Keeley Vatican Lecture next week.
The university says Bechina manages the congregation’s international activities in the area of higher education and represents the Holy See in relevant organizations and international initiatives. He was appointed to the undersecretary position in 2013.
The Keeley Vatican Lecture, titled "The Holy See’s Higher Education Policy from St. John Paul II to Pope Francis," will be held April 6 at 5:00 p.m. in Notre Dame’s Visitation Hall of Remick Commons. At 11:30 a.m. the same day, Bechina will preside at Mass in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
Notre Dame says the Keeley Vatican Lecture features distinguished representatives from the Holy See and significant diocese throughout Europe.
