A longtime employee with Valle Vista Health System, Kristen Primeau, will now lead the Greenwood-based health system as CEO.
Valle Vista focuses on mental health-related care and has an adult inpatient campus in Greenwood. The group announced Primeau’s hiring in a news release Tuesday.
“I am proud to lead this organization that meets patients and families on one of their worst days. It is a humbling experience to be a part of the change in their lives. We have a team that is passionate about helping others,” Primeau said in the release.
Primeau started with Valle Vista in 2013 as a clinician. She then moved on and up to directing youth services and then serving as executive director of subacute services, the release says.
Valle Vista has almost 300 employees and offers acute inpatient care for mental health and substance abuse disorder. The group also provides youth services, partial hospitalization programs, outpatient programs and opioid addiction programs.
