Indiana Utility Consumer Counselor David Stippler has announced he will retire from public service January 1. He was appointed as Indiana’s Utility consumer counselor by Governor Mitch Daniels in March 2008. Stippler was reappointed by Governor Pence in 2013. For the last three years, Stippler has served as secretary of the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates. He previously practiced law with the Indianapolis firm of Bingham McHale LLP and served as in-house corporate counsel with Ameritech Corp. and SBC Communications. Stippler is a 1973 graduate of the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis. He also graduated from Saint Meinrad College and the University of Evansville.
