Pittsburgh-based United States Steel Corp. has named a new general manager for its largest integrated steel making facility. Daniel Killeen will now lead the day-to-day operations of the Gary Works facility.

Killeen has been a part of U.S. Steel since 1996, during which time he has held a variety of positions throughout the world. He most recently served as plant manager of primary operations at the Gary Works facility, a position he has held since 2016.

U.S. Steel announced a year ago it was investing $35 million into improvements at the Gary Works plant.
