The University of Evansville and Ivy Tech Community College on Tuesday announced a partnership designed to give Ivy Tech graduates a clear pathway to continue their education.
The schools said the new Guaranteed Admission Agreement aims to ensure a smooth transfer process for students without losing credit.
Through the agreement, Ivy Tech students who complete an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of Applied Science degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher will be guaranteed admission to UE. Students must meet specific requirements, including applying for admission to UE and completing all degree requirements for their program.
UE said all UE bachelor’s degree programs will be included, with the exception of select programs such as Music, Theatre, and Nursing, which require additional criteria.
Qualified students will also receive a minimum scholarship of $20,000 per year for up to five semesters, with opportunities for higher awards based on GPA and achievements, the schools said.
“This agreement will change the trajectory of countless lives and, in doing so, will contribute to a brighter and stronger future for our communities and beyond,” UE President Christopher Pietruszkiewicz said in a news release. “Together, we are changing lives and changing the world-one student at a time.”
Students can submit applications now. You can learn more about the agreement by clicking here.
