United Way says a lot has changed during the pandemic, revealing additional needs in Allen County. A strategic taskforce was created in March 2020 to examine and prioritize root cause issues the community is facing.
In response, United Way of Allen County has set a new strategic focus on four priorities: educational opportunities, food security, housing stability, and mental health access.
The organization says it has received approval from the board of directors on what the priorities should be moving forward. The realignment could have an impact on funding it distributes.
United Way of Allen County says effective July 1, its fundraising efforts will focus on the four new strategic priorities.
