Ultimate Automation Acquires Carmel Company, Rebrands

Fishers-based Ultimate Automation has acquired Electronic Evolutions Inc. in Carmel. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed, however the two companies have been rebranded under the Ultimate Technologies Group banner.
The combined company will be headquartered in the existing Ultimate Automation offices and will also expand into the Indiana IoT Lab in Fishers. Ultimate Technologies Group says it will provide innovative audio-visual, information technology, building controls, and technology integration capabilities.
Ultimate Automation founder Will O’Brien says the Electronic Evolutions customer base will be a perfect fit for the combined company. Chief Executive Officer Tiffany O’Brien calls the deal a "win-win-win" for customers, employees and the market.
"Ultimate Automation has rapidly become a true innovator and technology leader in Fishers due to their customer dedication, advanced service offerings and Will O’Brien’s strong technology leadership," Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness said in a news release. "Their acquisition of Electronic Evolutions, in addition to their rapid organic growth, is a prime example of our smart, vibrant, and entrepreneurial business community. We are thrilled they will not only remain headquartered in Fishers, but continue their growth and innovation at the Indiana IoT Lab."
Electronic Evolutions was founded in 1985 as a residential home theater company. One of its early owners was Scott Jones, who is also chairman of Grow INdiana Media Ventures LLC, the parent of Inside INdiana Business.
