Tyson Onsite Acquired by Maryland Company

Indianapolis-based Tyson Onsite is under new ownership. The company, which provides rental and sales of commercial modular buildings, mobile offices, portable classrooms and storage, has been acquired by Maryland-based WillScot Corp. (Nasdaq: WSC).

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however Tyson principal Brent Claymon tells Inside INdiana Business no jobs will be affected. Tyson says the company will be integrated into the national operations of WillScot, which does business as Williams Scotsman.

Brent Claymon and his brother Matthew acquired Tyson in 2012. Additionally, the Claymons have sold the Tyson facility on the west side of Indianapolis to a third-party, who will lease the building to Williams Scotsman.

"Tyson Onsite is highly complementary to the Williams Scotsman market strategy and strengthens our position in key Midwestern markets," said Brad Soultz, chief executive officer of Williams Scotsman. "I am pleased to welcome Tyson Onsite employees to our Company and look forward to the many growth opportunities ahead for Williams Scotsman. As we move forward in 2018, we continue to see excellent acquisition opportunities in our target markets and we are well positioned to further execute on our growth strategy."

The Claymons founded Pac-Van Inc. in 1993 and sold the company to General Finance Corp. (Nasdaq: GFN) in 2006.
