The mayor of Fishers says his State of the City address on Wednesday will include two economic development announcements. Scott Fadness will deliver the annual presentation during the OneZone chamber of commerce monthly luncheon. He says the announcements involve two headquarters relocations, $22 million investment and jobs.
The Hamilton County city is riding a recent wave of economic activity. Texas-based Topgolf International Inc. detailed a new, more than $20 million entertainment facility that could create 450 full and part-time jobs. Late last year, City Council approved incentives for a planned $40 million IKEA store that is expected to employ around 250 and slightly farther back, Fishers-based Netfor Inc., a call center and help desk services company, announced plans to add nearly 90 jobs over the next few years.
The speech is set to begin around noon at the FORUM Conference Center.
