News Release

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Turnstone today introduced Parkview Health as its exclusive medical partner. As its medical partner, Parkview will help Turnstone further its mission to provide therapeutic, educational, wellness and recreational programs to empower people with disabilities. This partnership will also help Turnstone attract new Olympic/Paralympic athletes and their groups as well as additional adaptive sports and recreation activities. In addition it will allow for Turnstone to expand other programs and services that serve Fort Wayne and our surrounding area.

The partnership includes many health and well-being services to be provided by Parkview Physicians Group, Parkview Ortho Hospital, Ortho NorthEast and Parkview Sports Medicine. Those services include but are not limited to:

-Physician care and support

-Athletic training including sports performance and injury prevention

-Nutrition education and guidance.

Turnstone is proud to have Parkview Health, Parkview Physicians Group, Parkview Ortho Hospital and Ortho NorthEast on this Turnstone of Tomorrow project. As a part of their commitment to helping Turnstone further its mission, Parkview has made a financial contribution towards Turnstone for the Turnstone of Tomorrow project helping the not-for-profit reach its financial goal needed to construct the building. This project along with our medical partnership will allow Turnstone to further pursue becoming a Paralympic/Olympic Training Site.

“Turnstone's commitment to the betterment of our community through their health and well-being efforts, while empowering individuals with disabilities, is unmatched,” said Mike Packnett, president and CEO, Parkview Health. “Serving as Turnstone's medical partner, we look forward to working together to offer the community new and improved resources.”

“The contribution given to us by the Parkview groups has helped us to construct the building that will allow for many more people with disabilities to be served now and well into the future,” said Turnstone CEO Mike Mushett. “We are grateful for the financial support but also the future medical support for our athletes and clients.”
