Indianapolis-based Celadon Group Inc. (Nasdaq: CLDN) says it will offer employment to qualified workers affected by a St. Louis trucking company’s cuts. In a notice to the state Hogan Transports Inc. says the 80 layoffs are the result of a lost contract.
Celadon was awarded the contract, which is effective March 25. Hogan says employees were notified last week of the intention to cut the positions.
