The company received state and local incentives to add 20,000 square feet of space to optimize its manufacturing processes. Triton says the incentives allow it to add a $1.5 million building expansion to its facility in the northeast Indiana town and invest $8.1 million in equipment and machinery.
The company relocated to Indiana from Ohio in 2010 and Chief Executive Officer John Freudenberger tells Inside INdiana Business he never expected to fill its existing space.
"We have grown substantially over the years and, in the last few years, the economy has kept on moving forward and we’ve been trying to grow in every way we can," said Freudenberger. "Our current customer base is growing and expanding and asking for us to do more and more and solve more and more of their problems. So, as we’ve created tighter partnerships with them, they push us more and more and we take on those opportunities."
Freudenberger says the company’s proximity to larger communities such as Angola and Auburn helps provide not only a great location for employees to live but also more places from which to attract future employees. The company started in Indiana with 50 employees and is now up to about 120.
The new jobs coming with the expansion include production team members, customer service representatives, engineers and management positions. The company expects to break ground on the expansion this month, with completion scheduled to end in the fall.
