Governor Mike Pence has named Shelley Triol communications director. She most recently served as director of strategic communications for the Indiana Department of Administration. Prior to joining the state, Triol was part of Purdue University's communication's team. She also worked for Indianapolis-based Sease, Gerig and Associates, as well as multiple television stations in the state.

In an internal memo, Deputy Chief of Staff-Communications and Strategy Matt Lloyd says Triol will be the office's main point of contact for agency communicators.

Her first day on the job was Tuesday.
