Trine University has hired Phil Downs as director of education graduate programs and accreditation in the university’s Franks School of Education. He most recently served as superintendent of Southwest Allen County Schools and was named the state of Indiana’s Superintendent of the Year in 2020. Downs holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue Fort Wayne and a PhD. and master’s degree from Purdue University.
