Trine University has hired Doug Osos to be director of campus safety. Osos will be responsible for the overall safety of students, visitors and staff, and university facilities. He has decades of experience in protective services, including as store detective and regional asset protection manager at Meijer. Osos also served as a reserve police officer and squad leader in the Grandville and Hudsonville, Michigan Police Departments and as a Trine security officer.

“Doug’s extensive background in safety and law enforcement combined with his existing familiarity with Trine University make him an ideal fit for this role,” said Cisco Ortiz, dean of students. “We are excited to have him back on the team, and look forward to Trine Campus Safety continuing to provide excellent service to the university community under his leadership.”

Osos holds an associate degree in law enforcement and criminal justice from Lake Michigan College.
