Trine Merges Graduate, Professional Schools

Trine University in Angola has merged its graduate school and school of professional studies. The school says the new College of Graduate and Professional Studies will allow for stronger academic and administrative coordination.
Vice President For Academic Affairs Allen Hersel says the move will let the university’s main and branch campuses to work together more effectively and let Trine streamline operations.
Department of Criminal Justice, Psychology and Social Sciences Associate Professor Craig Laker will be dean of the CGPS. He has served as dean of the Jannen School of Arts & Sciences since 2013. The Fort Wayne native joined Trine in 1999. He has also taught at Indiana University, Concordia University and the University of Cincinnati. The school is looking for an interim dean to succeed Laker in the role.
