Trine, INDOT, Industry Partnering

Courses will be held at Trine's Indianapolis Regional Education Center in Avon.

A transportation industry training partnership involving public, private and educational stakeholders has been launched. Trine University, the Asphalt Pavement Association of Indiana and the Indiana Department of Transportation have joined forces for a certification initiative.

The quality control/quality-assurance Plant Technician Certification Program will involve courses at the Trine Indianapolis Regional Education Center in Avon. Reiners Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering associate professor and chair William Barry is coordinating the program, which will be taught by professionals from INDOT and APAI member firms.

Classes will take place January 17-20. Expected participants include asphalt producers, consulting engineering firms, testing laboratories, aggregate firms, and state and local government agencies.
