The owners of Zionsville-based Traders Point Creamery have named Mark Vander Kooy the company’s first chief executive officer. Vander Kooy is also the president of Indy Express Inc. and consulting company T-9Group LLC in Indianapolis. 

Traders Point says the newly-created position "will foster the company’s continued growth and sustain its mission into the future." The company says Vander Kooy has worked closely with its owners in all aspects of the business since 2012.

"As our overall business grows, we find it necessary to find more creative ways that will support us in a competitive market," says co-founder Fritz Kunz, "Mark brings a wealth of business experience in this role and he has been a long-time friend of the Creamery."

The company says, under Vander Kooy’s leadership, it will advance its commitment to organic farming.
