Toyota, Suppliers to Host Job Fair

Princeton, Ind. — As the launch of the new Highlander hybrid approaches, TMMI and its suppliers are searching for additional qualified candidates to add to their respective work forces. Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana will host a job fair at its Visitors Center Saturday, Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Interested applicants can talk with representatives from TMMI, its variable workforce partner Aerotek and eleven other suppliers and vendor partners. Representatives from KC Transportation, Spartan Staffing and Omnisource for McClellan, Toyota Tsusho, Toyota Boshoku, Millennium Steel, Green Metals, The PIC Group, Vuteq, Diversity Vuteq and Voith will participate. All positions will support TMMI and its partners locally.

Toyota Indiana began production in Princeton, Ind., in 1998. Today, Toyota Indiana employs about 4,500 team members from the Tri-State. Inside the 4-million-square-foot automotive manufacturing facility, team members produce the Sequoia full-size sport utility vehicle, Sienna minivan and Highlander midsize sport utility vehicle. In December, Toyota Indiana will add a new addition to its lineup, the Highlander hybrid, and will begin exporting vehicles to the Russia and Australia regions. Toyota’s total investment at the Princeton, Ind., plant is $4.34 billion.
Toyota Indiana has paid more than $74 million in local property taxes since 1997 and donated more than $14 million since 1996 to local community organizations that support youth and education, health and human services, civic and community programs and arts and culture. Toyota has been a zero landfill facility since May 2005.
