Todd Young to Speak at Trine Commencement

Trine University says Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) will deliver the keynote address at its May 13 commencement ceremony. President Earl Brooks II calls the military veteran and Congressman-turned-Senator "a shining example for our graduates and for all of us."
The 132nd commencement ceremony will feature the largest graduating class in the Angola-based school’s history. Officials say 978 students will be honored. The event is set for 10 a.m. at the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Inc. Athletic and Recreation Center.
Young is a Carmel High School and U.S. Naval Academy graduate, who also earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a law degree from Indiana University. He served 10 years in the Marine Corps and worked for former Senator Richard Lugar, the campaign to elect former Governor Mitch Daniels and the Washington D.C.-based Heritage Foundation.
