Tinker Coffee Co. has opened a new location in the Riverside District in Indianapolis. The company will continue to roast and sell coffee beans, and plans to open a café at the new location late summer 2019.
As business picked up for Tinker Coffee Co., it says a larger space was needed to meet online and wholesale orders. The new building at 1125 W. 16th St. is 10,000 square feet, giving the company room to grow.
The company has also updated its equipment, trading in their 1991 Probat L12 roaster for a brand new Loring S35 Kestrel roaster.
As a result of the expansion, the company may adjust their operating schedule. Previously without a storefront, the company has a retail area in the roasting facility. They will also be offering cupping classes in 2019 where participants can learn where coffee comes from, the roasting process and taste different types of coffee.
