Indianapolis-based TinderBox has named David Kerr chief operating officer. He previously served as a vice president at Groupon Inc. (Nasdaq: GRPN) and in a leadership role with Angie's List Inc. (Nasdaq ANGI). April 16, 2014

News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – TinderBox, the leading provider of sales automation, today announces the appointment of David Kerr as chief operating officer. As COO, Kerr will be responsible for driving revenue, marketing, implementation and ensuring operational efficiency.

The addition of the COO position is part of TinderBox's ongoing effort to scale the company and better serve its customers. Kerr brings over 20 years experience in executive management, business development, marketing, and sales to TinderBox, previously serving as vice president and general manager at Groupon and general manager at Angie's List.

“We are at an inflection point in our company's growth. Adding David's managerial, developmental, sales and operational expertise will allow us to best serve our customers,” said Dustin Sapp, CEO and cofounder of TinderBox. “Our shared vision for the company's future and past experience as a team made David the perfect candidate for TinderBox's COO.”

Kerr has been instrumental in the growth and acquisition of startups and enterprise-level companies including NoInk, LLC, Global Healthcare Exchange, and Everypath. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University.

“TinderBox has rapidly become an industry leader by putting customers first, executing innovative product development, and operating under forward-thinking and agile leadership,” said Kerr. “I'm excited to work with Dustin in another endeavor and be a part of the continued growth and success of the TinderBox team.”

The TinderBox solution is sales automation software that increases sales productivity with trackable, data-driven sales documents. TinderBox allows users to leverage data to automatically generate sales documents – like proposals, contracts, or presentations – and deliver them online, gaining visibility to prospect engagement and closing business through eSignature. TinderBox integrates with CRM, content management, and other eSignature solutions to help clients build a more efficient, intelligent, and connected sales process, resulting in brand consistency and sales efficiency for long-term revenue growth. Companies including ExactTarget, Angie's List, and Dominion use the TinderBox software.

Additionally, Mike Fitzgerald, TinderBox cofounder, has been named as board chairman, and Don Aquilano, managing partner at Allos Ventures, and Mark Hill, managing partner at Collina Ventures, as board members. This comes on the heels of TinderBox's recent funding announcement.
