Thousands Set For Zoobilation

The Indianapolis Zoo will host one of the state’s largest fundraisers this evening. The zoo expects around 5,000 people to attend tonight’s 30th Zoobilation.
The event features restaurants and bars from throughout central Indiana serving samples of their food and beverage offerings as well as live music. This year’s theme is Keeping It Wild, which the zoo says "celebrates 30 wonderful years of partying for animal conservation."
Zoobilation has become one of the highest-profile fundraising events in central Indiana over the last three decades. Money raised at the event helps fund the care of the zoo’s nearly 1,400 animals and 31,000 plants as well as conservation initiatives throughout the world. Last year’s Zoobilation raised $2.2 million.
