Elkhart-based Thor Industries Inc. has hired Rick Schutt as director of community engagement. In his newly-created role, he will be responsible for developing stronger relationships with school and community leaders to promote the RV industry and enhance Thor’s ability to positively impact the areas where our subsidiaries currently operate.

Schutt most recently served as a lead news anchor for WSBT-TV CBS, South Bend. He also previously served as an anchor at WICD-TV ABC, Champaign, Illinois and WSJV-TV Fox 28, South Bend. Schutt holds a Bachelor of Science in Health, with a concentration in Business, and holds certification from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
