World History Association Names New President

As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowWabash College Professor of History Rick Warner has been named president of the World History Association. Warner succeeds Craig Benjamin, a professor of history at Grand Valley State University.
Rick Warner first began working at Wabash in 1999. While there, he has been vice president of the WHA, chair of the history department, leader in the Advanced Placement World History (APWH) program, and associate dean of students. He has also directed many of the committees at Wabash, including the Off-Campus Study Committee and the Teacher Education Committee.
Craig Benjamin says, "All in the Wabash community should be proud of Rick and his achievements. Personally, I will always be grateful for his loyalty, vision, and professionalism during my term as President of the WHA."
The WHA was founded in 1982 and boasts 800 active members. Warner’s term as the association’s president will terminate on December 31, 2017.
