Elkhart Truth Announces Publisher
Faye Murry has been announced as the new publisher for The Elkhart Truth. She previously worked with the Messenger-Inquirer in Owensboro, Kentucky as the regional advertising director. In her position, Murry led the advertising department while also working closely with the editorial, circulation and production departments.
"I always prepared myself for the position I wanted, not the position I had, by learning about the other departments the best I could," she said. "I learned about the other positions, the other departments, what made them work and how everything connects together — and that’s what prepared me."
Murry started her career as a sales representative 30 years ago for the Messenger-Inquirer. She relocated to Terre Haute in 1995 where she worked as the advertising manager for the Tribune Star. Murry spent four years there before moving back to her hometown in Kentucky to take a job as the advertising director for the Messenger-Inquirer. She worked for the paper until the past Tuesday when she began with The Elkhart Truth.
“Faye brings a tremendous amount of energy, passion and experience to this position, and I am positive she will be an asset to Elkhart County,” said David Holgate, Indiana Michigan Group president for Paxton Media Group, which owns The Truth. “I am sure as members of the community meet her, they will also conclude what a great fit she will be.”
