Texas Company Proposes ‘Boutique’ ER in Fishers

Texas-based Nutex Health Inc. is looking to build a $10 million free-standing emergency room in Fishers. In a filing with the city, Chief Executive Officer Tom Vo says the facilities provide the full scope of services found in a traditional ER, but without the usual "anxiety."
The proposal calls for an 18,000 square-foot facility on 116th Street that will also include on-site testing, scanning, radiography and laboratory services. "By focusing only on a few service lines (ER, Medical Inpatient, Outpatient labs, and Outpatient Imaging), our facility can deliver fast, safe, and expedient care to the community that it serves," Vo said in a filing with the city. "Patients will enjoy the ambiance of a high-end facility, followed with evaluation by an experienced Emergency Physician within minutes of entry to our hospital. All testing is done quickly, without the delays typical of traditional, hospital-based emergency departments."
The company is seeking an amendment to current regulations in the area that keep businesses closed from Midnight to 6 a.m. The Fishers City Council voted Monday to move the measure on to the city’s plan commission. Nutex Health says, if approved, construction could begin by the end of the year. You can read more about the company’s plans by clicking here.
