An Illinois company is not going through with plans to locate a facility in West Lafayette. WLFI-TV reports Automotive Robotics Proving Labs Inc. has pulled out of a $10 million deal, which would have involved an engine testing operation at the Purdue Research Park. The company initially announced the move last year. It was expecting to create up to 30 jobs.

West Lafayette Director of Development Chandler Poole tells WLFI, other companies have shown interest in the property and he hasn't ruled out a return of ARPL.

A contract between Automotive Robotics Proving Labs and Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) broke down, forcing an end to the deal.
