A historic venue in Terre Haute is set to re-open today after a more than 6-month restoration initiative. A ribbon cutting is planned at the Indiana Theater Event Center, which features a 1920s-era 1,700-seat auditorium, plus catering and dining amenities. News Release

Previously Announced May 15, 2013

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana Theatre, LLC is pleased to announce that it has acquired the historic Indiana Theatre in downtown Terre Haute with plans to reopen the facility as the Indiana Theatre Event Center which will host a wide variety of events in partnership with its affiliated operations at The Copper Bar and Louise's Italian Fine Dining.

With a keen appreciation for the cultural and architectural significance of the Indiana Theatre's place in our community's history since it's storied opening on January 28, 1922; we eagerly look forward to rekindling the magic which still resides in this downtown treasure while it assumes a special role to become a relevant and vibrant symbol of Terre Haute's resurgent future.

Additional details and timelines for the revitalization will be disclosed in the near future as we carefully assess the ways to expand the capabilities of the Indiana Theatre Event Center to operate as a full service catering and event center.

As the restoration phases are planned to ensure the character and ambiance of the theatre are retained in conjunction with facility amenity upgrades and while progress becomes more visible, we are pleased to announce that the 200 person capacity lobby dining room and 1,700 seat auditorium are immediately available to host private, corporate and municipal events.
