Terre Haute Chamber President Retiring The announcement will take place at the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce.

The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce will be searching for a new leader after current president David Haynes announced his retirement at a recent board meeting. Haynes will officially retire on June 30.

Haynes was hired in 2014 and the Chamber has since seen an increase in membership, along with the creation of the regional initiative West Central Indiana 2025, and the adoption of downtown Terre Haute as an arm of the chamber organization, among other accomplishments.

“It is with equal amounts of appreciation, pride and hope that I announce my retirement as president of the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce,” he said in a statement. “I have great appreciation for this Board and its faith in a Terre Haute native to calm troubled waters and restore the confidence of our business community in this longstanding institution.”

Haynes says he will continue to practice law, and is also looking forward to spending more time with family. The board will soon convene committees to devise a plan to fill the position. A recommendation to the board is expected in February.

What resulted was an entirely different approach to consumer and business banking that operates in peaceful parallel with conventional banks of all sizes....
