In her new role, Craig will lead an 18-month improvement plan for the chamber, which aims to ensure its programs and services meet the needs of chamber members. The chamber says this is the result of Craig’s thesis for her recently-earned master’s degree in leadership development, which focused on the chamber’s dues structure and member benefits.
"The research and knowledge Kristin has gained in this process will undoubtedly be a benefit to her both professionally and personally," says Dan Doan, chamber board president. "The Board of Directors looks forward to seeing where Kristin will lead the Chamber in her new position."
Craig earned her master’s degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College earlier this year, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the same institution.
"I’m grateful for the support of the Chamber staff and board while I pursued this degree and I look forward to implementing the research I compiled over the last year," Craig. "I believe a strong Chamber of Commerce makes for a strong community and an even stronger Wabash Valley."
In addition to her role with the chamber, Craig serves on the board for Terre Haute Young Leaders, Wabash Valley Leadership Institute and Wabash Valley Crime Stoppers, among other organizations.
