Telecom Manufacturer to Open Clarksville Facility

Subscribe NowLouisville-based Mobile Initiative has announced plans to move its overseas manufacturing facility to southern Indiana. The company, which specializes in the design, manufacturing and distribution of mobile devices, plans to add 45 jobs by the end of 2021. Financial terms of the expansion were not immediately disclosed.
Mobile Initiative will lease and renovate 35,000 square feet of an existing building in Clarksville. The Clarksville Redevelopment Commission has approved a tax abatement for the project totaling $150,000, which the company says will be used for facility renovation, furniture, equipment, technology, appliances, and signage.
"We are thrilled to work with the state of Indiana and the Town of Clarksville to bring a new kind of telecom manufacturer to the market," says Mike Dahl, chief executive officer of Mobile Initiative. "We are looking forward to helping provide new opportunities to people all across the state. This facility marks not only the expansion of our company, but also the fantastic future for Clarksville."
The company did not provide a time frame for the facility’s opening.
