Indianapolis-based TechPoint has named the winners of its inaugural People’s Choice Mira Awards. The winners in the Best Tech Event, Best Tech Space and Best Tech T-Shirt or Swag categories will be recognized at the annual Mira Awards ceremony at The Westin Indianapolis on April 29.
Nearly 5,000 votes were cast in the categories TechPoint says "recognize aspects of our tech community that are important to company cultures and have a huge impact on employee experiences and connecting the community, but are not often included in awards programs." The winners are:
- Best Tech Event — ClearObject’s IndyIoT Symposium
- Best Tech Space — Upper Hand’s Headquarters
- Best Tech T-Shirt or Swag — WebLink’s “Fight of the Century” T-Shirt
Fishers-based ClearObject hosted the IndyIot event in September. More than 250 people attended the symposium that aimed to highlight how the Internet of Things is being used in Indiana.
Indianapolis-based Upper Hand moved into its new headquarters in the Morris Opera House in downtown Indy in May. TechPoint highlighted the culture of the space, which previously served as the headquarters for ExactTarget, saying, "Break and collaborative space provides a more relaxed and creative feel for team members to brainstorm on new ideas and customer feedback."
WebLink, also based in Indianapolis, received the Best Tech T-Shirt or Swag award for its "Fight of the Century" t-shirts which were offered to customers at the American Chamber of Commerce Executives convention in August. "WebLink handed out hundreds of shirts, the majority of session attendees were WebLink fanatics, and both customers and prospects were more active and engaged at the booth than ever before," said TechPoint.
The nominees for the 18th Annual TechPoint Mira Awards were announced last month.
