TechPoint has named Tim Garner to its board of directors. He serves as associate vice president for institutional analytics and special projects at Franklin College. Garner’s role with TechPoint is part of the school’s initiative to enhance the level of digital fluency of its students across the curriculum while engaging in innovative co-curricular experiences that also engage with technological opportunities.

Garner graduated from Franklin College in 1979 with majors in sociology and psychology. He earned his master’s degree and doctorate in sociology at the University of Illinois and returned to Franklin College in 1986 to teach sociology. Garner has served in a variety of roles at the college.
