A mobile donation technology startup is planning to expand in Indianapolis. Givelify LLC says plans call for up to 40 additional jobs by 2020 as it grows sales, marketing, support and development operations.
The company is headquartered in the Majestic Building in the city’s downtown and says its expanded space is set to be complete next month. It is investing nearly $100,000 in the first stage of expansion. Givelify has been offered up to $500,000 for its plans in conditional tax credits and training grants from the Indiana Economic Development Corp. The incentives relate to the work force commitments the company is making and are contingent upon Givelify meeting requirements agreed upon with the IEDC.
Chief Executive Officer Walle Mafolasire says "even as a bootstrapped company, we’ve been able to challenge highly bank-rolled competitors thanks to the business-friendly environment that the state of Indiana provides, as well as a thriving tech community that’s very supportive of startups."
The company says it has nearly 8,000 customers throughout the U.S. and it has helped organizations raise more than $100 million since it was launched in 2013. The new positions are expected to pay wages 50 percent higher than the state average.
