An Indianapolis-based tech company has announced plans to split one of its software platforms into its own subsidiary. Axia Technology Partners says Kerauno, a communications workflow platform that connects people, process, software and systems, will operate as an independent software company under the AxiaTP umbrella.
AxiaTP says the expansion will create an opportunity to add more tech-focused jobs in Indy. The company plans to hire up to 10 additional employees for positions including software engineers, director of software engineering and cloud systems engineer.
"The business decision comes at a time when we have experienced tremendous growth with the software platform," said Josh Ross, managing partner of AxiaTP. "This software is truly changing the way that people communicate by optimizing business process and improving business efficiencies. With the trajectory and market opportunity, it is important for Kerauno to have its own corporate identity and absolute focus."
AxiaTP co-founder Jason Ross and Chief Operating Officer Don Scifres be in charge of operating Kerauno LLC. Josh Ross will remain in his role and will also serve as chairman of the board for Kerauno.
Scifres, who is also co-founder of VisionTech Partners and VisionTech Angels, was named COO of AxiaTP in August.
