Teachers Credit Union has promoted Gene Novello to executive vice president and chief operating officer. He will take over responsibility for the day-to-day operations and direction of the organization from current president Paul Marsh. This shift in duties will allow Marsh to take a more active leadership role locally, nationally and within the credit union industry. Novello joined TCU in 2009 as vice president and regional manager and most recently served as senior vice president and chief lending officer. Prior to that, he served as president of TCU Insurance Agency. His extensive knowledge of the financial services industry spans more than 30 years. Prior to coming to TCU, he served as vice president, commercial banking with Peoples Bank and vice president, commercial banking with Horizon Bank before that. Novello received his finance degree from Ball State University.
