Teach Plus Indiana has promoted Carlotta Cooprider to executive director. She previously served as director of practice. Cooprider joined Teach Plus in 2014 to launch the Teach Plus T3 Indianapolis program. She had previously served as standards and assessment implementation lead with the Indiana Department of Education; administrator with multiple Indianapolis charter schools and program manager for Guardian Scholars, a post-secondary support and leadership development program for students at risk at Ball State University. Cooprider was named an Outstanding Educator Fellow with the Indiana Academy for Math, Science, and Humanities at Ball State University from 2002-2004. In 2015, she was appointed to the Indiana Governor’s Charter School Review Board and currently serves on the National Advisory Committee for CenterPoint Education. Cooprider started her career as a public school teacher in 1987. She earned a BS and MS in Education and an EdD in Adult, Higher, and Community Education from Ball State University.
