A cooperative owned by Huntingburg-based Superior Ag and Posey County Co-op has acquired the propane gas distribution business of Tell City-based Fischer’s Tru Flame. SynEnergy Partners is not disclosing financial terms of the deal.
SynEnergy says it will obtain all of Fischer’s trucks and equipment. A spokesperson for the cooperative says it will the same employees of Fischer’s, who will all keep their same jobs and operate under the SynEnergy name.
"We’re pleased Fischer’s has accepted our stewardship of their propane distribution business," said Kim Higginson, chief operating officer of SynEnergy Partners. "We are committed to continue to deliver the high-quality products and service that Fischer’s customers have always received." We’re delighted that many of the customers in the area will continue to see familiar faces with the same delivery and service employees."
SynEnergy Board Chairman Tim Mueller says the acquisition solidifies the cooperative’s position in the market and "substantially expands" its footprint in southern Indiana and northern Kentucky.
