The cooperative, co-owned by Huntingburg-based Superior Ag and Posey County Co-op, has acquired the business from Vaal’s in Saint Meinrad.
Tim Mueller, chairman of the SynEnergy Partners Board of Directors, says the acquisition solidifies the co-op’s position in the market and "substantially expands our customer base and footprint in southern Indiana." He adds the deal is part of SynEnergy Partners’ ongoing strategy to maximize profitability.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The co-op did not specify whether any jobs would be affected by the deal.
The acquisition comes less than a year after SynEnergy Partners acquired the propane distribution business of Fischer’s Tru Flame in Tell City.
