Swearing-In Set For New Supreme Court Justice
Indiana’s newest Supreme Court justice will Friday be ceremonially sworn in to office. Governor Eric Holcomb will administer the oath for Christopher Goff, who in June was selected to succeed the retiring Justice Robert Rucker.
Goff, however, has already begun his duties as Supreme Court justice. Chief Justice Loretta Rush administered a private oath on July 24 in order for Goff to begin work prior to Friday’s ceremony.
When announcing his selection, Holcomb called Goff and forward thinker who will be dedicated to making the court system better. Goff previously served as a Wabash County Superior Court judge, a position he held since 2005.
Goff’s official courtroom photograph will also be unveiled at the ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. You can view a livestream of the event by clicking here.
