Subscribe NowA survey conducted by the Grant County Economic Growth Council shows area businesses are positive on the county’s business climate and its future. The survey covers topics including ease of starting a business and state of the current work force.
The Growth Council distributed the survey, which is conducted every two or three years, to more than 200 businesses throughout the county and received nearly 60 responses. The majority of respondents said they would encourage others to start a business in Grant County, which they said is very supportive of small business owners.
The respondents also listed what they thought were the biggest deficiencies in the current work force, including inadequate employability, problem solving and basic training skills. They said the biggest constraint to the growth of their businesses is the availability of skilled workers.
