Supremex Seals Deal For Indy Envelope Maker

Bowers Envelope has has a presence in Indianapolis for nearly 90 years.

The acquisition of Indianapolis-based manufacturer Bowers Envelope Co. Inc. is now complete. In a quarterly earnings report, new Canadian owner Supremex Inc. says the deal helped drive up revenue by nearly 13 percent.

Supremex says Bowers Envelope is located in a "robust" market for printing and manufacturing envelopes.

When the acquisition was announced in August, Supremex said it would keep current Indianapolis facility General Manager Mike Daniel on the job. At the time of the deal, Supremex said Bowers had 50 workers. It was founded in 1928.
