With the state ordering the closure of restaurants and bars, there are thousands of Hoosiers who are suddenly without a paycheck.

Ohio-based Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) is trying to fill some jobs which the company says might be perfect for people whose jobs may be on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grocer is looking for people to add to the Kroger Pickup team, as cashiers, and at manufacturing plants and distribution centers.

“We are open, serving customers and we are eager to welcome new members to the team,” said a company statement.

The supermarket chain says candidates can apply at a local store or submit an application online.

Other retailers, such as Meijer, say they also have available positions that need to be filled immediately.
