Subscribe NowNonprofit organizations in seven Indiana counties will receive grants from Subaru of Indiana Automotive in Lafayette. The capital grants total more than $135,000 for arts and culture, health and welfare, or education initiatives.
The SIA Foundation awards grants twice a year to nonprofits who are seeking up to $15,000.
The recipients include:
- Advance Volunteer Fire Department – $5,284 for semi-automatic external defibrillators
- Battle Ground Middle School – $10,997.50 for robotic kits
- Beverly Shores Volunteer Fire Department – $8,086 for a rescue boat and motor
- Burnett Creek Elementary School – $3,000 for water bottle dispensers
- Boys & Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana – $8,000 for 3D laser printer/engraver, microphone and camera stabilizer
- Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville – $15,000 for interactive fitness equipment
- Town of Colfax – $12,855 for trail shelter house
- The Foster Closet at Innovation – $5,669 for building supplies and air conditioning/heating unit
- Jefferson High School – $14,986.57 for manufacturing lab equipment and protective gear
- Mintoyne Elementary School – $5,219.99 for world music drumming package
- Ouiatenon Preserve – $14,991.30 for utility terrain vehicle
- Paws & Think – $2,400 for agility and training equipment
- Pike County Christian Assistance – $14,000 for walk-in cooler
- The Salvation Army in Tippecanoe County – $10,763 for refrigerators and freezers
- West Lafayette Fire Department – $5,014.25 for rescue manikin
